PuiPui!

Okay!! Another light novel review. Wah, seems like I'm beginning to like light novels nowadays. This is a short review of a series entitle PuiPui!(ぷいぷい!).

PuiPui! was originally a light novel written by Midori Natsu and illustrated by Namori (Yuru Yuri creator). It was adapted as a manga last 2007. The story revolve around a first year highschool student name Araki Jin whose parents are archaeologist. While checking his parents package that was sent for him, he found a mysterious lamp. As he polished the lamp, smoked appears in nowhere and Zadou Sierra the academy's idol suddenly appear right in front of him wearing a maid suite. After appearing, her father arrives and explain that Sierra is a descendant of a lamp genie and she must grant her master's wishes to make her power stronger and to continue living her normal life as an Ojou-sama.

I got to know Puipui while browsing Namori-sensei profile. I think, Puipui was her first job and she was doing it while she was still studying in a university college. You can check it out at the last page of the Puipui first volume of the manga. Reading the 5 chapter of the volume 1 of the manga seems kinda boring since it cover the introduction of the story. But when you finished volume 1 and the 2 chapter of volume 2, you will go fond of it and ask for more. Well, the sad thing is, the translated English light novel and manga here in the internet ends on chapter 2 volume 2 and no body continue it. Arrghh.. I was really frustrated about it. It seems like I also need to buy a copy of it just like what I'm gonna do at Kokoro Connect.

But do you know that, Namori was not only the reason why I got interested on it. Well, to tell you the truth, the two main characters remained me of my two favorite pair in Namori's Yuru Yuri, Toshinou Kyouko and Sugiura Ayano. Hahaha! Sorry for comparing the artwork, but I just can't help it.Another thing is, when I first saw Namori's guy drawing, I thought to myself, "What a pretty guy. Hahahaha! Now I know why she's stuck on Yuri.".But after finishing the 2 chapter of the volume 2 of PuiPui, it seems that, I want to see her draw more guys.

Well, I still hope that someone will continue the English translated manga or novel of the series.

At the end of the day,
the best thing to
hold on to is
GOD.

Kokoro Connect

Hi everyone! This article is about a well known anime, manga and light novel today, known as Kokoro Connect (ココロコネクト). You can consider it as my first impression of this series, though I didn't consider it to myself. Okay, lets get going!

Kokoro Connect was about five members of school cultural club who ended up switching bodies in an unknown reason. I first encounter Kokoro Connect while browsing some information about Yukiko Horiguchi also known as Shiromizakana.( I was one of her fan that's why.) Kokoro Connect was originally a light novel, then they adapted it as a manga. After realizing that it has a manga, I begun looking for it on the net and start reading some of the chapter.  Its a little sad since the manga has only 2 chapter uploaded online. One day, while browsing some article at Anime News Network, I came across this awesome news. Its about the anime adaptation of this the series. I was really happy by after reading it.

While looking at the characters, do you remember something? Well, as you can see, the original character designer of the Kokoro Connect was none other than Yukiko Horiguchi who also design some anime character in a well known company known as Kyoto Animation. The anime that she did the illustration were Lucky Star and K-On!. Now, do you realize something?

Upon releasing the light novel, people who've seen it thought and made some humor that it was K-On! clone. As the manga release, up until now as the anime already been broadcasting, the humor become stronger. They concluded it like this.

Oww..

They have a point though. Maybe she did it on purpose? Or maybe it was only a coincidence since the time the novel was on the making, K-On! was also on the run and reigning. Well, you can't blame her, as a fan you can't stop being inspired at things that you really love. As you can see most of the staff in K-On!, the director, animator, musicians, seiyuu (voice actress/actor) and etc., were all fans of this anime. They gave all of their loving, sweat and blood in making this anime successful. If you know what an artist mind run, maybe you will understand me. Since Kokoro Connect was about switching personality development, (Yeah, I edit this, I find it to be like that.) I think it will really fit the theme if she design something like this.

You can compare the character design of the two but don't be fool of the moeness content. Kokoro Connect is way too different than K-On! It is more serious, has more heavy drama with a little tragic content and has romantic thing in the series. Though they have the same impact (The impact of wanting more.) but, in a different way. I must say that, Sadanatsu Anda the writer of Kokoro Connect was really amazing. Good JOB! Sadanatsu-san.

Sweet.~♥

I was really wondering why KyoAni did not adapt this novel. I think if they did, for sure, they will reign again. Too bad Silver Link got it. Maybe next time KyoAni. Well, I'm still watching it. When the series end, I'll be reviewing it just like the other anime review that I made. Well, hopefully. Until next time then. God Bless!

CREEPY OTAKU

I just can't take it anymore, they really gone beyond the boundary of being an otaku in being a "CREEPY OTAKU". As you can see, I'm kinda also like a Otaku person but, being like that means you should know your boundary.

The Otaku word has a two meaning. In Japan Otaku means, a person who is obsess in anime, manga and etc, without an end. While in western Otaku means, a person who enjoy anime and manga. Looking at the Japanese meaning of Otaku makes me think that, being called an Otaku in Japan is something not really good to them.

One day, I was just browsing in the net when I saw a this photo.

Seeing this photo makes me kinda angry to the person whose doing something to Mio. It really creep's me out, even some other people felt that too. All I did was just close the browser, and just told myself that I can't do anything about that because its their life.

What makes me write about this article was because of the behavior of some Japanese Otaku, to some seiyuu or also known as voice actors/actresses. After a few weeks, I was just again, browsing on the net and found a creepy website who has some latest news about the seiyuus. I decided to read some articles just to learn some information about the people who is giving life to our lovable anime characters. I was so shocked that some otaku fans gave 'Death threats' to other seiyuus. To what I have read they just do it because, they feel that they've been betrayed. Knowing something about their favorite Seiyuu's life that they don't want, makes some Japanese Otaku mad and angry that it makes them a "Creepy Insane Otaku". Some other Otaku even crash their CD collection just because of the humor.

It really saddens me to know how other Japanese Otaku acts towards their obsession. Being an Otaku is not a awful thing. Supporting the series by buying merchandises and cheering their seiyuus is not really a bad thing but, doing something that someones life is on the line is different. Seiyuu's are also humans that has their own life. Though I admire the fact that we have different cultures but, as a human, we must also respect each and one of us.  I don't have any grudge towards Japanese Otaku the truth is, I do adore their admiration towards the anime/manga series. Its just that, their admiration becomes so extreme that they become so creepy and insane. All I can say to them is... Have a life..

And for my shout out for HTT.
